| Threadless Conduit Systems
Threadless Conduit Systems is referred as EMT conduit because its wall is much thinner and lighter compared with rigid conduit of the same nominal size.
This type is galvanized on the exterior with a special lubricating coating applied to the interior to permit easier wire pulling.
It can be used for both exposed and concealed work providing it will no be subject to severe physical damage and is property protected againts corrosion.
It is most commonly used above ground for lighting circuits, control lines, and other low power applications.
Thickwall Conduit Systems
Thickwall Conduit Systems is made from high strength flat steel that is coldformed and electrically welded in a uniformly tube.
This conduit is capable of being threaded. The exterior surface is thoroughly coated with zine applied directly to the metal so that galvanic protection againts corrosion is achieved.
The interior surface is protected by special lubricating coating to permit easier wire pulling.
It can be used indoors or outdoors, and underground beneath concrete or fill. It can be used in high voltage applications.
Cable Duct Systems
 |
The main reason for selecting
Cable Duct is the concern of shielding protection for
very sensitive circuits. A Cable Duct Systems with steel
covers provides a good degree of shielding if there are
no breaks or holes in the completed installation. Some
engineers and designers specify Cable Duct (often with
covers) in the belief that all electrical circuits have
to be totally enclosed by metal. The Cable Duct are just
supporting cables that are designed for such. It Usually
used to prevent the interference of electromagnetic field.

Cable Tray Systems
 |
Most suitable for laying
cable in exposed area. This Systems will not spoil the
appearance after cable laying, since the tray is made
with small holes so that the cable is not conspicuous
when observed from the bottom side. Systems oval and round
holes alternately located on the bottom plate. Therefore, nylon bands
or other suitable means can be fastened in arbitary positions. |
|
Damage to cables is minor at the time of cable laying
and smooth laying work can be accomplished. The only reason
to select a ventilated trough cable tray over a ladder
type cable tray is aesthetic. No dropping of small cable
is visible. The ventilated trough cable tray provide more
support to the cables than the ladder cable tray does
but this additional support is not significant. It doesn't
have any impact on the cable record or life. |
